Australia no longer recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. 🇦🇺
🧕🏽 HIJAB BAN – India’s Supreme court is ‘split" on allowing hijabs in school.
The ban originated in February in the southern state of Karnataka that forbade students to wear headscarves.
🕌 SWISS BURQA BAN – The Swiss government is seeking fine people upwards to 1,000 Swiss Francs for wearing face coverings.
The far-right proposal to ban burqas won marginal victory in a referendum last year.
💼 IRAN STATE TV HACKED – Iran’s state TV was hacked, depicting image of supreme leader in crosshairs.
Amongst Iran’s wave of women-led protests, a television broadcast was hacked superimposing crosshairs and flames of supreme leader Ayotallah Ali Khamenei.
The message read, “The blood of our youths is in your hands.”
🇶🇦 WORLD CUP – Qatar to allow public alcohol consumption for World Cup 2022, despite it being illegal in the country.
The event, which has a capacity for around 15,000, will host internationally renowned artists and DJs, with World Cup organizers expecting it to draw some 200,000 fans.
🇵🇸 CHOLERA OUTBREAK – Lebanon has warned that a deadly outbreak is “spreading rapidly”, as the disease spreads from Syria.
Since October 6th, Lebanon has recorded 169 cholera cases, according to the health ministry.
🇸🇦 JAILED FOR TWEETS – Saudi Arabia sentences U.S citizen to 16 years in prison for tweets made in criticism of the Kingdom.
Saad Ibrahim remains imprisoned by Saudi Arabia after posting tweets from Florida criticizing the Saudi Government.
🇮🇳 UK PRIME MINISTER RESIGNS – Pro-Israel UK PM resigns just six weeks into the role.
🔦 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT – French Muslim soccer star, Karim Benzema wins historic Balon d'Or award, becoming only the second Muslim to do so.

🚨 Twitter is a major hub of anti-Muslim propaganda in India, New study finds
This week, a study done by the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV) – the apex Muslim body in the Australian state of Victoria, has found that the US, the UK, and India contributed a staggering 86% of anti-Muslim content on Twitter.
